TO ALL: SCH - a buying opportunity!!!
Many investors in SCH ran for the exit today after the news hit the wires that SCH is now worth more than MER.
But what is the market telling us here? Markets are saying that the future for the stock & options brokerage business is ONLINE.
SCH does 52% of their business ONLINE and allows you access to thousands of no-load mutual funds at no charge. Business is POURING
into SCH each day.
Be aware that there is a sea change occurring here, shifting from the traditional brokers like MER and others, into ONLINE BROKERS and
Schwab (SCH) is the #1. The sellers of SCH today made a mistake.

Online discount brokers are very HOT. NDB gained 18+ to 33, SEIB gained 10+ to 19. Schwab & E-Trade on a roll with massive gains these last few days.

Anyone interested should check out Freedom Securities. Solid company, low P/E and little downside risk given recent tax-loss selling. Likely to post better than expected January results like NDB. Expect gap tomorrow based on sympathy play, but despite large bids, didn't move much today so there should be plenty of upward potential and little chance downside. JMHO. Do your own DD !!

Good luck all

Stephen

DWEB is just beginning to get noticed. MLRE's vast potential is starting to finally get understood -- a little -- much more to come. GEEK will explode when the mini-AOL is understood and business plans unfold. CDNW's "Time" will come soon -- watch out then. SNMM will rule gambling -- a favorite pastime of mine. SEEK will explode when Disney promote begins. BII.TO will join the big boy auction sites. CDWI's business will continue to improve -- net will simply add value. PILT should grow solid as internet security with no internal hassles becomes desired. CUST will pull off the improbable and then skyrocket aka Blockbuster in the past. BVRTF could surprise some people.

I remain,

ps my two favorite infant biotechs that could make one wealthy are NRT.V and GERN

pps my sleeper, complete with crooked MM's (hopefully taken out soon) is IFOS

ppps my Y2K leftovers that may one day be in vogue and make huge gains -- ALYD, TAVA, VIAS and last, and certainly least (would this ever be the shocker of the decade - ZITL -- only because of an eerie feeling and three dead bats)

pppps I hold all the above securities, so my fairy tale ramblings should not be taken as investment advice (gg) -- do your own DD

ppppps may you all prosper and most importantly, have fun and know where you are going when the free world gives up its freedom for convenience and safety and the God who created this all closes the book
