...like the railroads (alternate sections of land, US Mail), the utilities (Rural Electrification Act), the trucking industry (the Interstate Highway System), farming (crop subsidies, the TVA and California Water Plan), the airlines (US Mail, the Air Traffic Control System), shipping (various port authorities, US Coast Guard)...and finally, RCA (free perpetual radio and television frequency licenses).
