Hello James,

You're right that the market cap of DCTC is close to being a mid-cap. The Nasdaq actually has two different exchanges, one being the normal Nasdaq and the other being the small cap exchange. Here's an example of one stock, FIBR, going from the small cap exchange to the normal exchange.

"Osicom Technologies Inc. Moves Trading to NASDAQ Natl. Market

OSICOM TECHNOLOGIES INC. Trading Moves to NASDAQ Natl. Market

December 16, 1998, Osicom Technologies Inc. began trading on the NASDAQ Natl. Market system under the ticker symbol FIBR. The stock had previously traded on the NASDAQ Smallcap system."

This was a big deal for FIBR, as they had waited for over a year to be listed on the real Nasdaq. The stock price went from ~9 to its current level of around 16 within a week or two of this announcement. Still rising, by the way.

Hope this helps.
