Well, I dont read Drudge, but he was seriously wrong earlier this year on another matter involving some comets possibly descending upon the earths atmosphere. The entire episode was a publicity stunt for the upcoming film "deep impact" (which was a remake of George Pal's "When Worlds Collide"). Drudge reported a possibility of a comet collide with the earth, substantiated by some source (the implication being Nasa or some such space agency). Later, Drudge retracted with the truth, that this was more publicity than fact - all this was before Drudge's infamy with regards to Clinton. On this incident, apparently Drudge has a source at MSNBC, in any case msnbc had an incentive to promote this phony impending disaster because if you saw the film you know msnbc paid heavily for promotion. That was my first exposure to the Drudge report and I certainly wasnt impressed.
