Hi Chaz: Actually, cable is the only broadband option in Paris, since France Telecom has yet to make a move towards delivering xDSL (France Telecom makes the RBOCS look both efficient and benevolent). No, it's just that my mom plans to use her PC to keep in touch with her children and grand-children-- she still enjoys shopping the old-fashioned way, since it gives her the opportunity to meet people. I agree with limtex and Steve Bowen who mentioned that Internet shopping is a dream come true for men-- no need to battle for a parking spot at the mall, and to endure all the pushing and shoving of Christmas crowds. A few mouse clicks, and presto, we are done with Christmas shopping, with lots of time left for the really important things in life, like bad mouthing Internet stocks:) Best regards, Bernard Levy
