I guess it would depend on how much your up and how much your willing to spend,i have to be honest here and tell you i tried riding both sides of the fence with AOL,AMZN,and EGGS,and it makes me feel better on the rough down days but in the LONG run ive never made money on the puts they only served as a insurance policy to help me get to a comfortable position, now i dont trade as much and tend to buy options 3-7 months out for a buffer, lord knows all you need with these stocks is a week or less sometimes to make the difference from rags to riches, and as the option gets close to expiration 1-3 months i have been selling and rolling out farther,if i like the stock, this has worked nice for me with to name a few WAG,WCOM,AOL,SEEK,LCOS...EZ
