<How come they used the 400Mhz Xeons and not the 450's.>

Simple answer: Just wait.

At the time, I don't think Compaq had any access to 450 MHz Xeons. There is quite a lag time between the release of a processor and a clustered server which features 16 of them.

Looking for input on short term INTC direction:
I wonder whether all the good news and upgrades have been priced into the stock. With shares down on two consecutive trading days, and the stock looking like it may have topped, I am wondering what the stock will do for the next 2.5 weeks or so.

I see the NASDAQ leadership (msft, csco, intc) moving sideways this week, with strong moves next week, and maybe the one following. When managers start to buy for next year, I figure INTC will be a good one to pick up. Maybe INTC can help its cause with some strong announcements, and a split?

What do other SI regulars think?
