JJJ,

Clearly you fail to see the bit of humor I attempted to impart on this dear thread of ours. Mr. Long's vivid description of the state of the office furniture surely deserved some appropriate comment from me of all people, who has been pulling the Long chain for many months <g>. But you probably didn't know that, did you?

On the one hand, I think it's marvelous that Digitcom has very functional furniture without being ostentatious. On the other, since all of their business will purportedly come from overseas, there really is no need for anything more, since they don't serve the walk-in public... unless you want to call Mr. Long a 'public'.

Perception....its kind of like going to the bathroom. Which toilet would you sit on, the one that is clean, or the one with old pee on the rim?

A strange thing to bring up on the thread, but as for which toilet to sit on... I prefer to stand, thank you very much... after I put the seat up of course... and if sitting were called for, I would put the seat down, not sit on the rim <gg>. I would put the lid down when finished too... and even flush. Does that clear up your preception? I hope so.

Chuck... making the call.

Jane,

I would have spoken to your concerns about the office furniture earlier, but in all honesty, I thought you were joking.

The picture that I posted of Jimmy was taken in the conference room. I was impressed by the DGIV offices. They were reasonably modern and quite functional. Most of the offices had glass walls. Kind of an art-deco look. The furnishings were typical office furniture. Not cheap by any means.

I will tell you this. I work for Boeing. Not a fledgling company by any means. The offices and furniture at DGIV beat the hell out of what we have at Boeing.

The restrooms were very clean, and I did my best not to pee on the rim <gg> There was also a very nice kitchen area.

I was greeted by a lady that works there. She was very friendly. The first thing she did was take me to the kitchen where she gave me coffee and cookies. Since I know you are interested, my coffee was served in a ceramic mug, not a paper cup. LOL. Had a saucer too!

I did not look under any chairs to see if there was gum stuck to the bottom of the seats. If you are interested in visiting, we can go together and you can do that task. Let me know when it is convenient for you.
