Hello Kemble, this post is not directed to you in particular.

Below is a list of stocks that have been chosen by the readers of Briefing.com

Stock 12/29 Close YTD Change 52-wk Hi Est P/E
Cisco Systems (CSCO) 93 1/2 151.6% 97 3/4 63.8
America Online (AOL) 154 5/8 583.4% 159 3/4 276.6
Dell (DELL) 74 9/16 255.1% 75 13/16 70.6

Compaq (CPQ) 41 11/16 47.6% 44 3/4 92.2
Yahoo (YHOO) 270 679.8% 286 630.8
Intel (INTC) 121 1/16 72.3% 126 3/16 36.5
MCI/Worldcom (WCOM) 74 1/4 145.5% 75 1/8 95.2
3Com (COMS) 47 5/8 36.3% 51 1/8 36.0

Near misses: Amazon (AMZN), At Home (ATHM), PeopleSoft (PSFT), Qwest (QWST) and EMC (EMC).

Only three of these stocks I wouldn't recommend, CPQ, COMS, PSFT.

I own five of the above stocks, DELL, CSCO, AOL, LU, ATHM.
Why bother with anything else, when you can own the leaders in their field.
ATHM is the only I would be quick to sell.
