About 90 percent of the posts to yahoo boards are filled with spam, and as such it is impossible to have a reasonable debate there. Since it costs money to post here, there is almost no spam. Of course I see the point you are feebly attempting to make, but the analogy isn't even close. If there were another popular board that monitored for spam and was free, SI would likely be out of business.
