Bob said at the October turning point at S & P 959 at the
successful bottom test that the awesome rally about to begin
would have two phases. Phase One would consist of multiple
expansion despite the absence of dramatic S & P earnings
growth in the near term. This has been unfolding in spades
since October 8th. Phase Two kicks in during 1999 as investors
begin to discount earnings growth into Year 2000 and
alleviation of global economic weakness outside the USA.
So far, the trains are running on time on this forecast
as the S & P has now risen from 959 to 1240 in less than
three months for a total return of 30% or 120% annualized.
Hows that for a market forecast?
