I guess there's an old saying of "Never follow a legend"

There are exceptions: JJ & Cowher come to mind but Noll & Shula's best years were 10+ years behind them when they stepped down


A couple of good examples on the players front were:

Mark Malone following Bradshaw and Danny White following Roger Staubach.............
