Depends on what you believe about display devices. CRT's will never displace paper. Flat panel displays built into a table top ... nah - too hip / expensive. Flexible, organo-luminescent (forgive my spelling), paper-like in feel, fed by wireless networks - sure.

The question is when, and at what cost. My daily local paper - a Gannett publication - costs about $40/quarter. I'd replace it for another $6/mo to Time Warner for another RoadRunner IP address, and $200-$400 for the display / wireless setup.

Except for having the dog pee on it ...

But when - it'll be a long time - a generation (20 years)?

Talk about long term investing ...
