Since I have been labeled a liberal that is what I mean by my people. I like to draw my little dichotomy and put "things conservative on one side things liberal on the other. Under conservative I have slavery,Spanish Inquisition, Hitler, Stalin, the genocide of American Indians, the Crusades, KKK, you get the drift under liberal I include social security,welfare,Kennedy,FDR,SDS and other institutions whose aim was to promote freedom, equality and justice. I know full well we have had our rotten apples but throughout history it is safe to say the most heinous and brutal events were not "liberal" events they were of a conservative rightist bent always rationalized by God or country
