One last rant on this subject. Back in my early days as a Catholic I was "liberal" in their eyes and "sinful" because I was from a "mixed" marriage a Catholic and a Protestant, and I took part in other religions services.A big no no. I held the liberal view that heck everyone has the right to their beliefs and their ways to express them.
Well along came the religious right and guess what they became a political party unto themselves. They are attempting to bring about legislation to tell me how to live my life according to their beliefs. When they did that they became the enemy, they became a political party and thus deserved no protection as a religious entity and a group subject to all the barbs and attacks of a political party trying to abrogate my rights to freedoms as I see them. They have started their "holy war" and I am but a combatant on the other side.
