Michelle, I re-read my post and stand corrected. What I really wanted to say is that people who work for the government and people who want something from the government are generally always pro-big government and, in my mind, not generally highly productive. I realize, as you noted, there are a lot of people who lean to the left and do produce quality things for our world. Everyone has a perspective on our highly polarized situation. I would prefer government to do what I think our founding fathers envisioned. Provide police, military, fire, etc. and then let the people work. I see our present government working to be bigger, more controlling, higher taxing, and working to socially engineer our society. I feel that in many ways they have minimized the things they should concentrate on and magnified things better left to communities, churches, etc.. For example, when we were young (you still are) the best way to stay out of a fight was to let the bullies know you would defend yourself and to stay fit and in fighting shape. We now are downgrading our military which could cause some evil leader to feel some comfort in taking a shot at us. In other words, I believe the best way to stay out a fight is to be prepared. In summary, I apologize for stating all liberals are generally non productive. I know many are productive. However, I would certainly stand that the conservative side of our national community is far more consistently producers. I would believe that you could find practically no conservative eating out of the public trough excepting for our wonderful military who sacrifice so much for our country. Further, they deserve everything they get and even more. We should get rid of a bunch of federal featherbedders and give our military a raise and better equipment. The few conservatives who work in government are in an awkward position and have to go along to get along. Anyway, these are my thoughts. Thank you for yours. Frank
