St John hires financial advisors
IRVINE, California, Dec 30 (Reuters) - St John Knits Inc said on Tuesday it has hired Merrill Lynch and Wasserstein Perella & Co to advise it on the takeover proposal by the company's founder, chairman and chief executive, Bob Gray.

Earlier in December, Gray offered to acquire the outstanding shares of the women's clothing manufacturer that were not already owned by the Gray family for $28 per share in cash.

St John shares closed up at 25- in New York Stock Exchange composite trade on Tuesday

Tim,
Also noticed alot of big blocks going off today. Their nice/new corp. offices are about 2 miles away from me here in Phoenix. Could these blocks be the fundies doing some positioning year end?
