I think what appears to be typical bearish positions on this thread may not be what a person would expect (e.g. 100% cash). In fact, it is much to the contrary for me

I believe most people on this thread are not bearish as the term is normally defined and for the most part are overweighted in the market. I have been at a 95% equity 5% cash / bond position for the better part of 16 years. Only since December have I cut back my exposure to 70% equities 30% cash / bonds for the inevitable pullback we will have at some point and then I will be back to my former levels for the sole purpose of taking advantage of those wonderful gift horses.

I do think that those on the thread have reaped great profits during this tremendous run and are more concerned about PRESERVING those gains and careful examination of economic fundamentals and valuations are in order lest we all become complacent. It serves to keep us all on our economic toes and to keep the wealth where hopefully it belongs in our pockets.
