I can vouch for that, first hand!

Seems that the redeye we caught Sunday night homebound was diverted to the capital aerodrome of Perversia, LAX. Got there at 6AM a bright and sunny Monday morning and our plane proceeded to just limp off into a far corner of the lot and sit and wait and wait and wait about 4 hours...for SFO to lose its fog. Very pleasant/not. Eventually the pilot took us back aloft and glided us into the fog shrouded ILS path that led to terra firma greya in SF. Thank dog for that, I hate landing when you can't see the ground until after you touch. Thowing in a side trip to Alameda on the drive home and we were door to door in just over 13 sleepless, grumpy, stinky hours. Great vacation.
