Umm.. the average for Schwab accounts is 80K, the average US 401K is 40 K. few people have a lot more, but the 1000 shares isn't likely to be Joe Sixpack unless he cashed in his chips from the December internet casino.

I had asked for folks to disclose honestly how long people were not including the fast money investors. I have not heard anyone yet say they are long more than 1000 shares yet. traders don't count, I was just referring to investors.
