Tried in the court of opinion, found guilty by the media, and sentenced to greater success. He's right. They can stick a ham sandwich in there if they choose. They probably have. Fortunately for them there are no competitors to force them to remove it by offering a better alternative.

There are no competitors because NSCP, SUNW, IBM, don't want to compete. They prefer to retain their own protected monopolies and parasite off MSFT's efforts however bad they are. MSFT generates all this indirect activity for each of them. they don't perceive it is in their interest to marshall the resources in order to undermine their own best perceived interest.

Monopoly is a transient state. It creates the circumstances that brings about its demise. This is true as long as government doesn't interfere. When government does that, resolutions, laws, and judgements are enacted which give concession to monopoly in exchange for circumstances that preserve it. I don't expect the academic illiterati to comprehend that, they're intellects are too powerful.
This is what happened to ATT. The government and the people had no complaint about that monopoly for more than 50 years. However, you can't change the laws of economics, so the inevitable occurred. ATT got to the point where they were their own worst enemy. No Kavorkian was allowed to do them in. The government didn't. ATT broke up because it was a bloated, inefficient, unprofitable monstrosity which had no where to go but down.

I wonder why you believe MSFT has bullied other businesses? They're fierce competitors. I understand that that is contrary to contemporary American accepted business conduct, but the rest of the world is not a believer in the quaint American polite society. America shouldn't be either because it is self-deception. Another lie in the long train of them that becomes the collected myth structure that charades as history. How can you expect to understand anything if your comprehension is built on what the press needs you to believe for them to sell their media?

If some Mom and Pop sues MSFT for infringement of their home html, then is it not due process for MSFT to immediately concede because the press has them convicted? You believe the press when they tell you MSFT is doing all manner of things.

The businesses which benefit from deals with MSFT have been attacked for operating under duress. The attackers claim that they aren't telling the truth because if they do, MSFT will cut them off. You just have to understand that it is none of anyone's damn business what individuals do. The public and the press can go to hell if they think to the contrary, because they are going against the whole core of what this nation is about. I wouldn't expect the mass of illiterates to understand that. In the old days you had to learn these things in school as well as the lawyers presumably know them now. Those days are long gone. We have a circus of nonsense which is evanescent at best and thus has no consequence. That means it is futile attempting to understand what is developing, and it is unnecessary to try. This is a small era of weaklings and will be completely forgotten in the near future.
