"I speak to God through prayer on a daily basis".

That's a good start Mark. More people should do that.
There is a time for everything.

Now let God speak to you through His word. His Holy Bible. If you do not have one, purchase one why don't you. It will be your best investment.

Mark when you get a Bible I'd like to suggest that you begin reading at Ezekiel 40-48. It teaches of the 1,000 yr reign of Christ. The answer to your question will be found in Ez.44.
It will also be very helpful to read with understanding Rev.20, take special note that there are 2 deaths and 2 resurrections. And also you shou1d have a good understanding of,1 Corinthians 15:35-58, concentrating especially on 50-58.

If you do not do at least that much than you have cheated God of a fair chance, and your self of the truth.
I believe when you have completed this study your soul will be at rest.

Prov 30:5
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Sincerely,
Shalom...><>

Mark,

"It does not address the question of why and how eternal punishment is more beneficial in any sense than rehabilitation."

OK, let's put the shoe on the other foot for one moment. It's a tact I took with Norris for awhile and Islam that I want to take with you.

Let's examine the "Silver's" religion for a bit, if you don't mind me calling it that for lack of a better name.

In the "Silver's" religion, why would God want to create people with free will or choice at all, or anyone that was imperfect for that matter, if everyone was going to be rehabiliated to a point of perfection, or to a so called state of "good enough"?

God Bless,
Steve

PS - I have many more questions, but we will take one at a time, if you are willing of course!
