hi Preston. I like Reidel also.

I am a Cabernet drinker about 90% of the time. I have the Vinium series glasses for every day, but Just to see what the rave was all about(I too have used them for a little over 3 years) I had to get a set of four of the Sommelier series. at $80 a pop, rarely use them, and have busted two of them.

But it sure is does make a statement when you can get 25% of a bottle into a 30 oz. glass. If you make it to the third glass, it'll likly break before you finish the wine. Cheers!

Yes, I have broken the Riedel crystal also. But not the stem, the bowl! When I was washing the glass. I did break another at the stem. But it is still worth it to have the Riedel, and I have learned to be very careful.

I have only 3 styles - bordeaux, chardonnay/white burgundy, and champagne. I have located a shop that sells Riedel at a decent price, and thus I intend to add to my collection.
