I was looking at the NDX, SPX, Nas. Comp., on quote.com, iqc, and a couple of other free chart sites. Actually, these charts occasionally conflict with one another such as quote.com and iqc for the dow.

I do see what you mean with regard to the divergence in the floating line, although I don't see a divergence there for the nas. comp., and I'm not sure the divergence will continue in the other averages if we get another strong day or two. But if it does, some of those individual issues you've mentioned really look ripe for shorting. I'm still riding my shorts on the semis, but I may look to cover if the next support on the sox doesn't get taken out soon.

I rarely use stochastics anymore -- overbought/oversold doesn't seem to mean much in this market. I do use the weekly stochastics sometimes, but only as confirmation of other indicators in taking long term positions.
