Agricultural Web Auction Site Readied

MBT International Inc. said yesterday it will bring the
popular Web auction format to agricultural products and
services by launching an auction Web site early next month.
The site will feature more than $100 million worth of
farming-related goods, horses, and livestock.

MBT is the parent company of AgriMall.com, a Web hosting
service for merchants of agriculture products, and
HorseNet.com, an online horse brokering and classified ad
site that MBT recently acquired. MBT will use technology
from both companies to create the auction site.

The site will launch with the "passive auction" format used
by successful consumer auction sites such as OnSale and
eBay, where bids can be placed anytime before a specified
deadline. Later in the first quarter, MBT will add "live
auction" capability, where the auction occurs in real time.
That format is used by industrial marketplace FreeMarkets
Online. The live auction will let "buyers and sellers from
around the world transact business in a real-time auction
setting on the Internet," says MBT CEO Andy McKinnon.

The company plans additional acquisitions to advance its
E-commerce strategy.

That is way out technology for those that understand what you can do. There are some posts over in Yahoo about that. Look for posts by Lurker or Alfalfa who are really up on the gene side of this company.
All these levels of research ability and knowledge along with the in-house talent really adds up to value.

Now, if the weather holds good, and the farmers can plant, and the bees pollinate and the sun rises every day we could have a good year without anything else happening. Oracle is helping with bookkeeping nightmare and the financials should be current in another 3 to 6 months.

This year should see the full effect of the 450-500 mill in sales.

Let the sun shine on the rocks and watch them move.
