Isn't the ''manipulation'' a window of opportunity to exploit here ? I think few question the ultimate success of either SEV or HEC finding substantial reserves in Colombia. Given HEC is all most unique in it's position of having $100 Million in Cash; I view HEC as the best high risk Exploration play as opposed to say BNO in Russia, or SEV and OIL in Colombia. Cash gives them so many options; what sets HEC apart from other floorless convertible situations and most high risk/speculative Exploration plays is their moderate debt levels and $100+ Million in cash. Their ability to deal with the floorless convertibles, make acquisitions and most importantly, having the staying power to continue an aggressive longterm drilling program makes todays and maybe tomorrows <VBG> price levels all most an anomaly. These drilling problems and even dry holes give tremendous amounts of information for future drilling/seismic decisions; it's not allways a total loss - much is learned for the future from these temporary setbacks imho. With their cash position, unless they have the ''3 Stooges'' running their drilling program, with $100+ Million - it seems more ''when'' than ''if'' they hit the big one... These guys need to hire the Worlds finest ''freelance/mercanary'' drilling/seismic crew that money can buy... pay them top dollar & the lure of cheap options would have to be an irresistable carrot imho. Steal some damn Anadarko people <VBG>. I see this selloff as a window of opportunity for both a short term trading opp and most importantly as an entry point into a cash rich company with an exciting exploration program and huge upside potential. Cash is more than King here; it is the the prerequisite ''life-force'' for an aggressive Exploration play - I see none better. good luck all - adding some HEC - waiting for SEV @ $5 again -( please God, one more opportunity) and watching LUKOY if Russia seems to stay above water here...
