Ice,

I'm appending. I read that piece a little more closely. Very interesting stuff and no doubt alot of monkey business going on. That is the kind of stuff cnbs should be all over. But noooooo. We get clips of brokers singing songs on Christmas Eve and Bass Mouth doing heavy breathing over friggin stocks! Wall Street deserves a crash. I just hope I'm there if one ever happens.

MM

This gets curiouser and curiouser...
In a trip to Vancouver I read in the paper that the Canadian authorities are terrified of the white-collar Russian mafia that has infiltrated most of the 200 banks, they are experts on money-laundering and banking/brokerage crime. And Canada reports that if the US unemployment statistics were computed that same way that Canadian statistics are computed, we too would have the same level of unemployment, around double-digit levels. So who to trust?
Or could this whole thing be a gigantic sting operation to bring down these guys? I kinda wonder...Greenspan and Rubin aren't that stupid...
