I don't usually watch much CFNM or whatever the acronym is for the financial channel, but today --twice-- when I turned it on there were negative discussions going on about the Internet stocks, and a guy from Merrill Lynch was making a very strong anti-Amazon case the other day. The there was that WSJ story this morning.

Maybe some of the insiders will listen and start dumping stock. I watched Polaroid go from 145 to 15 (approx.) back in the 70s, and it would be no surprise to see Amazon go from 360 back to 40, though I wouldn't dare put money on that much of a decline.

I am regretting now placing a limit instead of a market order on a Yahoo LEAP put this morning, but too often in the past two years I have jumped in with cheerful confidence. Someone is already doing extremely well on YHOO 2001 puts @45 that could be bought in the last few days for under $2.
