Question Does anyone think that flash or some
other electronic memory will eventually slow down
the growth or even replace disk drives? No moving
parts is an advantage but the cost is currently
prohibitive except for a few applications such
as cameras etc. My concern is that a good hunk of
JMAR is involved with the test equips for the heads .
Admittedly the disk is here for a while at least so
perhaps this should not be a concern.

But what else has kept this from rising with
the tide?
