At least SKYM, the internet stock I recommended thinking about shorting, is down 13 today. As for a stock I can see going bonkers at some point: Spiegel. They are a household name in catalogues and although the stock has done well recently it hasn't gone bonkers yet. I can still recall from my gameshow watching teen years the ads for Spiegel in "Chicago, Illinois 60609". But anyone playing any internet stock has to realize you throw fundamentals out the window and buy strictly on emotion.

A lot of the Internet stocks also have their NASDAQ listing which makes it easy to play both sides of the fence. Most Y2K issues were BB where the average Joe couldn't take a short position.

Personally, I believe the internet stocks are much more volatile than the Y2K issues...........
