Tim, you are contradicting yourself....a zeal for hurting people's feelings is not "all numbers". Everyone who has traded stocks any length of times knows about loss...shorts are *not* a necessity at all IMHO and should be regulated out of existence...but then the SEC can't even keep the scams out, much less pass any regulation that makes any sense!

Hey, I respect anyone's right to short a stock, but I certainly wouldn't encourage anyone to do it today on an internet play. No free lunches to be had!

It's sort of like betting 'No Pass' at the craps table. Everyone just get pissed that you are on the other side. You become their enemy. Shorts are part of the game.
