I don't know that it has (or will) happen. But I meant beginning the short sales again once it reverses to $1.00 per share, not shorting the existing levels.

Do you know if this has happened?

Nonsense.

If the market does not believe that the merger is going to go through, then the prices of the two stocks will continue to diverge, as each company is valued closer to it's perceived individual value.

But, what's the point? There are those here who are claiming that the merger will be completed at the same time, and that the stocks will never trade separately post-split.

Guess we'll know if they are liars soon enough.
