Only one more approval for ATT/TCI merger. . .FCC. Upon approval, TCOMA, TCOMB, LBTYA, LBTYB, TUNE, TUNEP and gee I forget the rest. . . will all merge into T and a new ATT tracking stock called ATT Consumer Services [now LBTYA, LBTYB and the TUNEs]. As I have said many times. THIS merged company will become the biggest internet company by 2003. It is the true sleeper of the internet stocks, IMO. TCOMA and B will convert directly into T upon merger completion and are both at a relative bargain to T's price. And the ATT Consumer Services Company will hold such gems as ATT's "a2b music" and TCI Music [TUNE] which holds "DMX Music," "SonicNet" and "The Box." Direct Delivery of music is our future. . . NOT CD, NOT DVD, NOT MP3 and not even 8-track tapes. . . . Just make your selection on your Internet screen or dedicated entertainment screen and hear ANY. . . yes ANY . . music or watch any video you wish at any time you wish. . . pause, FF or RW. . . no prob. Sound via fibre optics will exceed CD specs and will be hooked directly to your home stereo. You will be charged, based on what you listen to. I further predict that MP3 will be made illegal in America and eventually other leading countries. . . not without first biting a big chunk of profits out of the major record companies in the world.
