Posting here to say, Doroteo, that I thoroughly agree with you on Chateau Ste. Michelle, although their chardonnays are at least drinkable, which their reds are not, in my opinion. Why they insist on producing reds, rather than concentrating on the whites as they should, has been a mystery to me.

The biggest problem with Ch. Ste Michelle, IMO, is that they
are owned by UST, the big chewing tobacco company. I believe that is correct.. We used to stop in there before that. Now we won't..

Although I am a loyal Washingtonian, a Coug, I believe California
wins out in wine tasting for the price.. The Washington whites are
good though.. I think, my wife tells me so..
