Proves one thing I've been arguing since I was a debater in high school, and later when I taught poly sci in HS and college: "Let me define the terms and I will win any debate." True then, true now.
You will find that "liberals" are more likely to be in journalistic (including dictionary writing) professions. (I guarantee you that NO conservative as you define it had anything to do with Webster's Third International Dictionary!) "Conservatives" don't have time to write about life--they are too busy inventing useful things and making money for liberals to tax away and spend on their favorite causes.

But despite that, I note that a conservative is defined as "not extreme," and as "protecting from ... injury." I don't consider myself conservative, but I sure do consider myself not extreme, and I do believe in protecting myself and others from injury. Not bad things to be. If those are marks of a conservative, maybe I should rethink.

On the other handm, neither you nor Sharon can claim to be liberal under this definition. You sure aren't tolerant of Zoltan, Darrell, etc! Nor are you bountiful toward them.

Guess you just hung yourself by your own petard, didn't you?
