Mike,

I thought something looked familiar about that barnacle encrusted, water blowing hole that dove under my stern. And I mean major diving too. I saw the blow 20 to 30 feet on the port side and he was heading right for the boat, but just beginning his dive. I saw him disappear well before he was beneath me. I have no idea how long this guy was but what I saw of him made me feel tiny. And by the angle I saw of his dive I imagine he was quite deep when he passed under me. Just awsome!! That was yesterday, he's probably half way between San Diego and Cabo San Lucas by now.

Regarding George Gilder. Anyone who has read his telocosm series or other writings knows that he has a broad barnacled back and dives deep in these and many technical fields. And he swims with the best of them. It was particularly comforting to me as an investor when I discovered that George understood the implications of CDMA. We're lucky to have such people stop in here from time to time. And guys who surf too.

BTW, how long does it take you to surf from San Francisco to San Diego on a good day?

Best Regards

Walt
