(Short OTC) Yesterday's move from gold stocks to the Arktos Fund saved a 1+% loss in the former but has yet to signigicantly reward our daring short of the NASDAQ 100 index in the latter. Continuing yesterday's logic, tomorrow's abbreviated session is the last trading day of the year. It's unlikely that buyers would want to take on additional ownership of extremely pricy tech stocks while those holding big profits might wish to enter the new year with less risk exposure. Gold stocks dropped 3% from today's high despite a reasonably healthy gold market and soft dollar. Even though the last -29% decline may be complete, these stocks may not move appreciably higher without the stimulus of renewed substantial demand for gold. This sector has been very good to us this year but we will place further interest in it on hold until short-term moving averages are broken decidedly. Recent price action has placed this group in no-man's land.

A guy I work with had this observation about Clinton, Given Clinton's apparently complete lack of understanding of the term "sexual relations" and what, in fact, actually qualifies as "sex", ....... how the heck can he be trusted to run the country?? I mean face it, every country in the world is basically trying to "*k the US, and we have a guy in office who doesn't even know the definition. How would he know who is or isn't king us?? And this guy IS PRESIDENT*??? I thought it humourous enough, I had to share it with you all. Hope it did not offend. (Actually, I had tears in my eyes from laughing when he said it) <VBG> Regards, Ron
