>>what WILL happen on Monday, will the index fund managers buying run the price up?<<

does it really matter if

a) you are a long-term investor
b) all selling and buying offset and aol's stock remains status quo
c) it runs up but settles back down into a less volatile pattern
d) aol hits $246 at mid-year and $379 at 6/00 (MSN prediction)

things get simpler when a commitment is made to either daytrade or hold long-term in aol.

regards
paul

Annette,

In my humble opinion this is as close as I can call it for tomorrow and thru Wed.

1. AOL will rise about $7 to $8 which will put it back about where it closed on Tuesday. Which is exactly what the MM's (Market Manipulators) wanted, orderly insertion into the S & P.

2. Mon. - there will be some profit taking in the morning because of the New Year and AOL will finish up about $4 on the eve of YHOO earnings. ( I am assuming Jan. 5th for their earnings.)

3. Tues. - Up about $5 more bucks on day of YHOO earnings.

4. Wed. - Up about $8 more bucks on YHOO's great earnings.

From the porch -
