ron, easy to get "over-netted" there are a lot of other stocks out there. playing the big movers in the nets is a high risk, high reward , fast paced action. requires a lot of attention, as you well know. Our styles are quite different. I still have a faint relationship with value investing, with a good smattering of TA and FA. As i posted earlier, my buygoodstocksandholdthem portfolio is up 38% YTD, my trading acct, with MANY entries, is up about 8%, after being down almost 50%.
Today I find value in EDS, U/ALK/LUV, LSI looking attractive, CBS looks ready to bust out big time, TWX ditto. AOL/NSCP pick of the litter in internet plays IMO, with YHOO not far behind. the rest of the crazies are like a hot date - great for the evening, but not lasting relationship material.
It is my intent to sell all my Z stocks during the day tomorrow. Whatever I (Z) own at end of day will be sold at the closing price. I would like to buy some right back for the 1999 Portfolio, assumming that i can buy tomorrow's close for Monday's open. In particular, I expect AOL to jump as it officially becomes a part of SP500.
Much thanks for the great job that you have done on the portfolio, your soul-searching posts, and the friendship we have shared. looking forward to more of the same in '99. Since you're such a good bud, i will give you in confidence the secret to successful investing. ready, no peeking, okay. buy low, sell high, unless you're short. ggg larry

TIE, ASHW, CMOS.

Ron,

TIE may have put in a double bottom in the low 7 area today and it closed right at the middle daily bollinger band (20 day moving average). If it moves through 8 1/8, I think it has a good shot at 8 3/4 to 9. I may buy a little tomorrow as well.

ASHW closed above it's middle daily bollinger band today. The next resistance for this stock is between 5 3/4 and 6 and it should have support at 5. Thanks again for the write up on ASHW yesterday. I agree with everything you said about it.

CMOS closed up 3/4 today to 17 5/6 and looks like it is on target to reach my target of 18 1/4 to 18 1/2.
