DALLAS, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- DocuCorp International (Nasdaq: DOCC) today announced that its Atlanta-based Document Outsourcing Center has "gone live" with the formatting, printing, finishing and mailing of consolidated monthly bills for the 132,000 residential and commercial members of Cobb Electric Membership Corporation (Cobb EMC) of Marietta, GA.
"Cobb EMC is the second largest of the nation's 1,000 electric cooperatives, and we are very pleased they have selected DocuCorp technology to produce their multi-service bills and provide other bill-related services," said Phillip J. Hamrick, DocuCorp's senior vice president of sales and marketing.
"We're also gearing up to use new DocuCorp Internet technology that will substantially improve Cobb EMC's customer communications," he added.
"A number of Cobb EMC's electricity customers also use natural gas provided by Scana Energy Marketing, Inc., headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina," said Kerry LeCrone, DocuCorp's senior vice president for services. "Since our technology supports consolidated billing, Cobb EMC's electricity bills include natural gas charges for Scana customers in the same counties, which simplifies things for the dual customers: they can write a single check for both utilities.
"The DocuCorp Document Outsourcing Center provides full archive-based call center functionality," LeCrone added. "Therefore, Cobb and Scana representatives can refer to exact bill images when answering telephone inquiries from their customers."
