Jan, It's good to hear from you, you little lurker you.

I am a small business owner and will replace all PCs the coming year.
And that's why you are a small business owner! :-) I agree with you in the 3-5 person SOHO arena. Based on your 2nd and 3rd paragraphs my guess is that you were going to do this anyway. Small businesses 10 to < 100 people with whatever hardware are making different decisions. "Is it broke? Then use it till it does break. Then call someone to fix it." A lot of our clients are construction/developers/property managers that have somehow lasted since the 70's and early 80's whose CEO's were nail pounders themselves. If a hammer breaks, get a new one. If a skip loader breaks down 2-3 times a week, buy/finance a new one. But the DP (or IT, or IS, or MIS, or whatever) "department" is having to reboot their server 2-3 times a week, try and get a dime. Computers and the associated software that's used to create the information upon which management makes financial decisions are treated as a bastard step-child. (sorry for mixing my plural single-arities, but I'm starting to get hot about this subject again!!)
