Just FYI, QLGC is splitting at close of business today according to this URL. Interesting that there was no press release from the company.

NO split until about 1/14/98.

Vote counting doesn't start until Monday (1/4/98). Actual split occurs about 10 days after the "yes" vote goes over 50%. Because of the holidays and the mail many votes may not be received until
wednesday or thursday of next week.
