Foundations of the Big Bang Theory

map.gsfc.nasa.gov

The hot Big Bang Theory is a broadly accepted theory for the origin and evolution of our universe. It rests on two seeming sound pillars:

•The General Theory of Relativity: Over eighty years ago, Einstein proposed this theory that describes how the distribution of mass in the universe determines the geometry of the space. Originally, the theory was able to account for peculiarities in the orbit of Mercury and the bending of light by the Sun. In recent years, the theory has passed a series of rigorous tests.
•On the largest scales, the distribution of matter in the universe is nearly uniform. This assumption appears to be confirmed both by galaxy surveys and by the low level of fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background.

In the hot Big Bang Theory, the observable universe began with an
instantaneously expanding point, roughly ten to twenty billion years ago. Since then, the universe has continued to expand, gradually increasing the distance between our Galaxy and external galaxies. The expansion of the universe "stretches" light rays converting blue light into red light and red light into infrared light. Thus, distant galaxies, which are rapidly moving away from us, appear redder. This expansion also cools the microwave background radiation. Thus, the cosmic microwave background radiation, which today has a temperature of 2.728 Kelvin, was hotter in the early universe. Gravity slows the expansion of the universe. If the universe is dense enough, the expansion of the universe will eventually reverse and the universe will collapse. If the density is not high enough, then the expansion will continue forever. Thus, the density of the universe will
determine its ultimate fate.

Steve and ALL,
I wish to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and very Happy New Year!!! But to the folks up in CT. get back to work as play time is over<G>. Everyone at the home office and anywhere in the DCI family have a Great New Year. I know that we all have some great things to look forward to in the coming year with Joe Murphy and DCI. As Brad loves to say, "P&P", I will say that is now more true than ever. The price we see our mm's move us to is not and has not been reflective of the true value of DCI. We will get rewarded by just sitting back and letting Joe Murphy work his magic.

The market is open for half a day today until 1 pm eastern. SMTK has no bearing on DCI in any way shape or form except that they owe us about $1 million in cash or stock that is correctly valued at todays prices. No need to be paranoid as we have gotten away from the pre-paid industry and are moving the major portion of our revenues to the LD side of the equation. Joe is smart and knows to not put out press releases hyping th e activation of pins as that is not where and when the revenues hit the books. That was SMTK's biggest problem, they counted their pin activations as vastly expanding sales. Joe does count pin activations but does not use those numbers as vastly expanding revenues. He waits for the minutes to actually get used before he counts the revenues. There is a vast difference between the two as we are on the way up and they are on the way down. We are carrying our own traffic and they use others peoples lines and switches. Lets just all sit back and enjoy the New Years and DCI.

LONG AND STRONG!!! GO DCTC!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Bruce
