Steve, You have to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Believing comes first. My point is that a person can't believe in order to be saved in a cynical way as a hedge. That would also imply that if it could be done as a hedge they would go on living as they had before which if they were truly born again would not be possible because they would be transformed. They have to go all the way. It was just a joke. Bob
