Ok BV, I've done a little reading on this since you sent me the private message. Being in the south, I've never seen their stores. Heck, I'd never heard of them until thirty minutes ago.

My first impression was why take on Home Depot? Look where that has gotten HQ. They are currently in bankruptcy and Home Depot is about to put the knockout punch on Payless Cashways too. Could you please explain why the company puts stores next to HQ and is it really competing against HD?

With regards to the golf side of the business, did they buy Nevada Bob's national chain or just some of the stores around you in the northeast? We've got one Nevada Bob's in Memphis which hasn't changed. Personally, Nevada Bob's isn't the store that Edwin Watts or Double Eagle (a locally owned chain of golf stores) are. I really don't believe there is a nationally dominant golf chain since NB can't seem to turn much of a profit and Edwin Watts isn't nationwide. Plus, the internet sites I've looked at that sell golf equipment don't really provide much of a price improvement like you would think they would with the lower overhead. There could be an opportunity for the company here.

I take it that the company has also in the process of getting a web presence too. Look what that did for Skymall. A friend tipped me off of Skymall back at $5. I've just watched it in total disbelief. It seems that anything with .com after it or a simple web site is the hottest thing to hit American soil since the Beatles back in the 60's.

That was a nice pop today on serious volume for a company like this. Hope you caught it at the right time today.
