Hell, I bought in at 21 before one of these shows, only to watch it plummet to 12. Good thing I continued holding.....

Ed, they were late trades. Late trades have no valid time stamp. They could have happened at any time during the day; most likely during the morning hours while the stock was still trading in the high 40 zone.

I don't think that Phil meant that one observation had any causal relationship to the other. Did you Phil? I think he was merely making two unrelated observations.

In my opinion, the recent and near term future run up is being driven by the relative certainty of a strong earnings report, that certainty having been just bolstered by factual evidence of much greater than expected iMac sales figures. Earnings, after all, are at the hub of the equity machine. New products, promotions and related hyperbole make up the rest of the wheel.

This quarter's principle bragging rights will stem from the year over year growth in earnings. Growth in market share will solidify the foundation for continued performance and the product strategy at this point is tertiary to that foundation.

Go AAPL! (Every time I say that, I wonder "Where's Kurt?")
