Max, this is how I play FDA approvals.

There is always buying in advance that boosts the
stock price. So if I know a stock is going go
up, I want to benefit from it.

To eliminate the risk, I sell most of my shares
the day before the meeting, holding a few shares just
for fun incase the news is positive.

We lucked out this time in that the FDA gave a specific
date of Jan 12. Most of the time they don't do this.
So that is when I put some fun money in options, like DRMD.
(fda has until March to inform drmd of approval for Cenestrin
a competiting drug to PreMarin) so I have March calls.

Regards,
S.W.
