I myself was startled by the "port" posts. However, I think on SI they would have to be legitimate. It looks like some lawyers took exception to some of his statements, and not YAHOO thread police. They look like very precisely worded public retractions/apologies. I doubt he was the Arthur Tang of SI as the style and content were totally different. However, he might have called himself that on Yahoo as a joke, and said something unfortunate under that nom de plume. It does leave one wondering a bit about the facts, and whether we will hear from him again.
