Carver, what do you think about MELI's action today (down 3 1/2)?
Is this a buying opp. or is there substance to it. Plenty of 1000,
5000 share blocks trading. Let me know your thoughts.

Mark, here is a copy of a post on the Yahoo MELI thread.
<<I emailed the investor relations manager (MaryJane Stout) at MELI to find out what was going on. Their reply was reassuring and the outlook is still good!
" We remain comfortable with our earnings estimates for 4Q and EOY. It's looking like DAVX has pulled us down with them. Our trading has been NO block trades today so we're guessing it's daytraders, and that institutions have not lost confidence in us. Also our 20 day moving average is $17 so perhaps this action should not be a surprise.
We have spent the day here discussing whether or not to issue a positive "we're comfortable with the quarter" pre-announcement and have decided we cannot run our business in response to Davox's -- although we realize the next 30 days or so (we announce on Feb. 1) could be painful.>>
I doubt if the next 30 days will be painful as I believe the bigger players have learned by now that these announcements by DAVX have had no implications with regards to MELI's earnings....They can't be so dumb as to believe otherwise... Can they?
