Steve, Apple died a self inflicted death and when IBM went with the 8080 the pathway that is now trodden by millions was started. Even IBM could not change that path, witness the microchannel that cost IBM billions, and even Intel cannot change it, witness the celeron debacle and the other debacle on the horizon from Intel.

Apple gave up on the 68000 descendants - why would "WE ALL" be better off with that chip if even the Apple folks didn't want it ?
